Dry As Rain

Dry As Rain is a Christian Contemporary Romance written by Gina Holmes. It is dealing with two people, Eric and Kyra, who fell in love, thinking it would last forever, only to find their marriage gradually falling apart twenty years later.

Just when Eric thinks all hope is lost, Kyra is involved in a car accident which erases part of her memory. Eric sees this as his chance to hopefully get a fresh start and win back Kyra's love.

Through this book, Eric seems to push aside his relationship with God, and just does what he thinks he can do to make things work. Once he realizes it isn't working, he puts his faith where it belonged in the first place and the Grace of god shines through.

While I wouldn't of picked this book for myself, I did find it an easy read, though a little predictable. I think I had basically figured out what was going to happen halfway through the book.

I received this book free of charge from Tyndale House Publishers for review purposes.

Hope you all are enjoying a Fall-like week!

  1. It sounds great however it does sound quite predictable; but yet again what romance novel isn't?
