So Fustrating...

I have really been bad about blogging lately. My only excuse is between trying to work a part-time job and my brother's visit has left me feeling down and out. I was excited about having my brother and neice here (have pictures to share later) but with the new job I have been left feeling drained.

I don't know what to do about the job. I like the people but my feet and ankles are killing me. Friday I worked and was on the verge of tears they hurt so bad. I have different shoes, gel inserts and even compression stockings and they aren't helping at all. By the time I come home I can barely walk. I've tried soaking them and it helps temporarily. My ankles are swollen and throb all night which doesn't help my trying to sleep since I sleep bad already.

I'm sorry for whining... I just feel like crying....

  1. I'm sorry to hear that. I often have trouble with my legs hurting at the end of the day and I can't say much helps. If I take aspirin and soak in a hot bath the pain goes away fairly fast.
    bigs hugs

  2. Advil....and try birkenstocks....worth every penny I paid for them!!!!

  3. I'm so sorry you're having a hard time this week. Can you sleep with your feet propped up which might help? Or maybe a diuretic if you are retaining water?

  4. Oh, Debbie...I am so sorry. Try to get your feet up as much as you can for the next few days. Some ice packs would help, too. Try to stay away from salt. Maybe now that your brother is will be able to take some time for yourself. I'm thinking of you and saying a few prayers.

I have missed you on your blog.

  5. Hi Debbie,
I'm so sorry to hear that your feet and ankles are hurting you. I've had some problems with that in the past and had to go to a foot doctor to have orthotic insoles made for my shoes...and it really helped. Going to keep you in my prayers.
    hugs, Cindy

  6. I'm sorry to hear you are having so much pain. I know you were real happy to get the job, I hope you find a solution soon so you can continue working there. But if not, don't feel bad, you tried your best to make it work. Best wishes.

  7. I'm so sorry to hear about your foot pain! I have a hard time standing a long on my feet - but it affects my back. Do you have a foot massager? I have one of those plug in roller type machines.

  8. I think I replied to you on the Homesteading Yahoogroup. But I will do it again Just in case!! I use sage essentail oil in a lotion on my legs and ankles when they swell it takes the swelling down with in 30 minutes! It just amazed me the first time I used. I have trouble when I am one concrete floors for long periods of time and when I worked as an Aid in a nursing home I wore DrScholls but they had to be replaced often as they usually wore out in about 3 months.
Dandelion is a a natural Diuretic and it works well. You can take it in a tea which isnt bad at all or in a pill form and Vit C too. I hope something works for you! That is just to miserable!!
